Genetic Diversity of Jinshaia sinensis (Cypriniformes, Balitoridae) Distributed Upstream of the Yangtze River

چکیده

The upper reaches of the Yangtze River (upper YR) are a biological zone with extremely rich fish diversity, especially endemic fish. However, long-term human interference, such as environmental pollution and cascade hydropower construction, has significantly changed habitat many is threatening number genetic diversity populations. Jinshaia sinensis typical small but rare that found in YR, its structure still need further study. To understand current levels J. sinensis, we analyzed population history, structure, etc., three populations based on two mitochondrial genes (the cytochrome-c oxidase subunit I, COI, cytochrome-b gene, Cytb) nuclear (recombination-activating protein 1, RAG1, rhodopsin, RH). analysis indicated had high haplotype (h) nucleotide (Pi). Population pairwise FST revealed significant divergence between Lijiang Luzhou for all Panzhihua populations, except COI gene; however, analyses molecular variance (AMOVA) showed no geographic among gene flow also certain degree exchange Haplotype network low shared haplotypes Neutrality test mismatch distribution results only experienced obvious expansion. Overall, these indicate single evolutionarily unit, when considering threat disturbance to population, it necessary carry out monitoring other fishes similar ecological habits order maintain YR.

phylogeography and genetic diversity of the lesser mouse- eared bat (myotis blythii) in iran

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...

Genetic Diversity of Daphnia pulex in the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River

Increased human activities and environmental changes may lead to genetic diversity variations of Cladocerans in water. Daphnia pulex are distributed throughout the world and often regarded as a model organism. The 16S rDNA, cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI), and 18S genes were used as molecular marks. The genetic diversity and phylogeny of D. pulex obtained from 10 water bodies in the middle...

karyotype of river loach turcinoemacheilus kosswigi bănărescu and nalbant, 1964 (cypriniformes, balitoridae) from the euphrates river, turkey

karyotype of river loach turcinoemacheilus kosswigi from the euphrates river, turkey was investigated using conventional giemsa-staining and c-banding. two females and two males were analyzed. diploid chromosome number was 2n= 50 in all specimens. the karyotype consisted of four pairs of metacentric (m), seven pairs of submeta (sm)-subtelocentric (st) and 14 pairs of acrocentric (a) chromosomes...

Impact of Climate Change on Drought in the Upstream Yangtze River Region

Based on Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) dataset and a variable infiltration capacity (VIC) hydrological model, this study assesses the possible influence of climate change in the upstream region of the Yangtze River on droughts in the future 30 years. Long-term daily soil moisture content were simulated by VIC model at a 50 km × 50 km resolution from 1951 to 2013. Regiona...

Genetic Diversity and Structure Analysis of Percocypris pingi (Cypriniformes: Cyprinidae): Implications for Conservation and Hatchery Release in the Yalong River

Percocypris pingi is a near threatened cyprinid species, which has suffered a dramatic decline due to anthropogenic factors. As one response to this decline, hatchery release for P. pingi has been conducted in the lower reaches of the Yalong River since 2012. To understand the conservation status of this species and the potential impact of the release of hatchery-reared fish, we studied the gen...
